Mould (Aspergillus Niger)

Everyone has come across some form of mould colony in their life. Different types of mould are all around us, in the air in the form of spores, tiny particles travelling until they find favourable damp, musty conditions to thrive on. Particularly in Britain, where climate is advantageous for them, we professional cleaners are frequently asked to clean areas, surfaces affected by mould infestation (including soft furnishings). Like dust allergens, mould allergies are perennial and allergic people exhibit symptoms throughout the year. When mould spores are present in abnormally high quantities, they can present especially hazardous health risks to humans, including allergic reactions or poisoning by mycotoxins, or causing fungal infection (mycosis). We are well equipped to remove mould from bedding, mattresses, other soft furnishing. Ask for a free quote today >>

dustmite

Dust mite (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus)

House dust mites are hardly visible to the eye, about a quarter of a millimetre long. They feed off skin scales which have been partially digested by moulds and thrive in humid environments. Mites can be found in bedding, carpets, soft furnishings and clothing. In people allergic to dust mite, it is often not the mite itself but proteins in their droppings which cause the allergy. Each mite produces about 20 of these waste droppings every day and the droppings continue to cause allergic symptoms. With frequent vacuuming and professional help you can reduce their presence. Contact us for cleaning solutions >>

Bed bug

According to the World Health Organization two species of bedbug feed on humans: the common bedbug (Cimex lectularius), which occurs in most parts of the world, and the tropical bedbug (Cimex hemipterus), which occurs mainly in tropical countries. They are a severe nuisance when they occur in large densities, causing hurtful bites, although they don't carry diseases. If you suspect you might have issues with bed bugs, we are happy to facilitate a deep mattress, soft furnishing clean which includes a long lasting protection against them and other unwanted creatures. (Please note, we only treat soft furnishings against micro-organisms, insects and are not specialists in pest control). Get in touch today >>

flea

Flea (Siphonaptera)

Fleas don't specifically live in bedding or soft furnishing, although their presence can be greatly reduced and stopped by taking certain measures such as deep cleaning along with identifying the origin of infestation. The most important species are the rat flea, the human flea and the cat flea. Fleas avoid light and are mostly found among the hairs or feathers of animals or in beds and in people’s clothing. Most flea species feed on one or two host species, but in the absence of their normal host they feed on humans or other animals. Unless there's a massive infestation, fleas and their eggs, larvae and cocoons can be effectively removed by having your home deep cleaned by professional cleaners. We are here to help >>
